MUD Australia

MUD Australia, started in 1994 in Sydney Australia by Shelley Simpson, is a small studio dedicated to making high quality porcelain products for real-life use. Each piece is hand-made by their dedicated staff of professional ceramicists using the highest quality materials. The depth of the color is achieved by tinting the porcelain at the slip stage. A clear glaze is then used on the interior, while the exterior is smooth-sanded vitrified porcelain that gets smoother with age. All of MUD Australia's pieces are oven, microwave, dishwasher and food safe. Durable enough for everyday use and beautiful enough for even the most discerning tables.

Available in our shop in 14 different colors and many different styles and configurations.

Bavarian Forest Bags

We are super excited to be introducing these incredibly unique, 100% linen bags from the Bavarian Forest. They were each hand printed in a workshop that is over 400 years old!! That's right, FOUR HUNDRED YEARS OLD! Incredible. They are made using traditional techniques and exhibit motifs of the Bavarian forest. We know you will all enjoy.

Snow & Coat Rack

We just finished our 3rd (yes THIRD) 20"+ snow storm here in Philadelphia. It really was a beautiful storm as the wet snow clung to the trees. I grabbed this shot on the iPhone as I darted down the street for some coffee at our favorite coffee shop (which thankfully stayed open all day long).

While we are in the peak of coat-season, what better time to introduce our newest line of products from Desu Design. The Symbol Coat Rack (available in Color or Monochrome) is a very sleek way to hang those coats after building snowmen and making snow angels. Even better, during those coat-less months, it still looks great as the hooks retract back into the wall unit. Talk about a functional piece of art!

Introducing Anglepoise!

For over 70 years, Anglepoise has created table lamps and table lights that are now British design classics (one is even featured on a stamp issued by the Royal Mail). In their long history, Anglepoise has redefined all a table lamp has been and can be. Their table lamps remain true to George Carwardine’s original design while incorporating modern features, such as energy saving bulbs. Their energy saving lamps are designed to replicate the intensity of light that is demanded by professionals, such as graphic artists and interior designers. HORNE is proudly offering the Original 1227 lamp in 4 colors and the Type 75 lamp in silver. Both are beautifully designed lighting options for your home or office.
