Wedding Collage

I was so impressed with Alissa's wedding collage (previously featured as our boutique's front window) that I wanted to post it in blog world so it can live on for eternity! Each element of the collage relates to our wedding in some important way (our invitation, an invitation envelope, our engagement photo, a Polaroid of us where we got engaged, etc.). One of my favorite pieces is highlighted below and was part of the packaging of an engagement present we received from silversmith Miranda Meilleur. She sent us the most adorable/beautiful acid etched silver bowl to hold our rings prior to the ceremony. Not only was the piece itself absolutely amazing but she hand made the box and a card that went along with it. It looks like she used silver-smatterings (that is indeed the technical word :-) with paint to create the beautiful effect seen below on the card. Perhaps we will convince her to share her card-making secrets with all of us! Oh and we will soon have some of Miranda's work in the shop.

Tulip Fields

So very pretty. Reminds me (a little bit) of Paul Smith socks (which I love to wear).

Mr. and Mrs. Walker!

We are back from our wedding and are now officially Mr. Ryan Walker and Mrs. Alissa Parker-Walker. It was a beautiful affair -- Alissa looked stunning and everyone had a great time. Above is a snapshot taken by one of our friends of the grounds where the ceremony took place. In the far left corner you can see me, my groomsman and my best man making our way up to center stage.

Frogs and Peeps

I love these solid walnut animal tables by Hella Jongerius which will be featured in Paris next week.

How Peeps are made! Don't really like eating them, but they sure are fun to look at.
