HORNE's Late Summer Holiday

The HORNE Team was recently in Italy and France for our Late Summer Holiday. We took some time for much needed rest and relaxation but we couldn't resist doing some buying for HORNE. Our trip consisted of a week long stay in the countryside of Northern Italy and then a week in Paris. Our resident photographer took many images, however, being the analog lover she is, they are all either Polaroids or film!

The film is due back from processing soon but in the meantime we wanted to share some Polaroids taken during the trip.

IDEA & Hay - Just in!

We just received a shipment of great new products from Japanese design collective, IDEA. My personal favorite is the Rechargeable USB Card Speaker which puts off excellent (and loud) sound when connected to your iPhone, computer, iPad, cell phone, et al. The sleek design and tough metal construction makes it perfect for the design-conscious traveler.

We also received a container of furniture from the design collective HAY. The container is still being unpacked but we did get the indoor/outdoor DLM Side Table up on the boutique as quickly as we could. It comes in yellow, green and black and the handle on top makes it portable enough to take along with you. Made from lightweight powder-coated steel and is made for either indoor or outdoor use. Check out below for an image of another cool design from HAY that will soon be listed in the boutique... super cool, eh?!

Thank God it's Friday!

Today, after work, I am heading to our Trader Joe's to pick up some Blood Orange Soda. I don't know about you guys but it has been a long week at HORNE Headquarters. I have never been more ready to make one of our Behind the Bar creations than I am today. This month's drink is courtesy of Dia Rao and Patrick Haynes, the Sardinian Blood Orange Mojito.

Jieldé

I stumbled across this image while perusing some blogs yesterday. It is a great example of how two different styles of Jieldé lamps can be used in one room. I love how they used magazines to raise the height of the desk lamp!

It's been too long...

Hello Again!

We know it has been awhile since we have updated our blog but fear not we have many exciting things in store for HORNE. We have been busy finding the coolest gifts for the holiday season and working on a new addition to our website. Plus, not only did we move to a shiny new warehouse but Ryan and I also moved to a shiny new condo!
